First Piedmont Corporation, located in southeastern Virginia, is a full service waste management company that provides hauling, landfill services and recycling.

First Piedmont began as an industrial waste hauling company in 1972, but then expanded to include the operation of the First Piedmont Landfill (located east of Danville) and a recycling plant (in Ringgold, Virginia). Serving industrial, commercial, or residential waste disposal needs, First Piedmont applies years of experience to each individual situation.

Currently their recycling facility provides cardboard, aluminum beverage can, steel can, newsprint and office paper recycling. As part of their recycling program, First Piedmont provides 8 cubic yard front-load recycling containers to be used for cardboard recycling. The cost of this type of cardboard recycling is generally 30% less than the cost of hauling and landfill disposal.

They also provide 50 cubic yard closed-top containers to be used by schools or non-profit organizations in the collection of recyclables. These closed-top containers are generally used for newsprint and aluminum can campaigns by non-profit organizations. All rebates are given directly to the non-profit organization.
