More- SWANA Workshops

One May 4th, participants explored public education through social marketing, or the use of commercial marketing techniques for behaviors or actions. North Carolina’s new RE3 program was provided as an example of a successful outreach campaign for the young adult audience, a difficult group to meet with traditional recycling outreach tools. The May 11th workshop focused on school education and the EnviroChallenger program was highlighted. The series concluded on May 18th with information about working with the media.

VRA will be receiving 3 copies of the entire teleconference on CD that may be loaned to members who were not able to attend the sessions in person.
